Jim Rubillo explores the life and times of one of the period’s most eccentric, charismatic, and colorful characters. From selling soap from a farm wagon to his death on the Lusitania, Hubbard was a controversial entrepreneur, popular speaker, and widely read writer. By 1913, Hubbard was a world-famous celebrity. Today the most common reaction to his name is “Who?” This presentation, with many connections to today’s world, is an intriguing look at celebrity and influence.
